Emergency Preparedness — What you need to know when the excrement strikes the propeller.
Thunder Bumpers — Thunderstorms are nature’s fireworks, and nothing to worry about if you know how to stay safe.
Floridiana — Lots of cool stuff about the Sunshine State (thunderstorms, for example)
MyFlorida.com — Florida’s official web portal: information on drivers’ licenses, professional licensing, school enrollment, insurance, stuff for visitors, etc. Very Chamber of Commercey, but a good resource.
Regional Weather Radar — Numerous links on the site to other weather information. This site is easier to deal with than NOAA’s, IMNSHO. If you like it, email me with “wunderground” in the subject line, and I’ll send you a free 1-year subscription promo that will get rid of the ads.
Tropical Weather — (from the site above)
Florida Newspapers — Major links should be OK; some links to minor rags may be dead.
The Florida Historical Map Collection
The Florida Historical Map Collection is one of the treasures of the P.K. Yonge Library of Florida History and contains more than 2300 images of Florida dating from the early 1500s to 1926. The earliest original printed map in the collection is Girolamo Ruscelli’s Nueva hispania tabula nova, [Venice, 1561].
