  1. The sandhills are a unique and interesting place. Finding a tree in all that expanse of land is amazing, we once drove for about twenty-five miles before we actually found a place to pull over.

    1. Looks like lightning may have found it first, but it seems to’ve survived.
      It was right up on a hill (dune?) too, not down in a river bottom.
