Vivian Maier – Unknown Artist of Street Photography


Vivian's Title: The Mona Lisa

Vivian Maier was a nanny, world traveler and street photographer who worked from the 1950’s through the 90’s.  Her work was discovered at an auction in Chicago, where she resided for most of her life.  It includes more than 100,000 negatives, mostly medium format, thousands of prints, and a huge quantity of undeveloped film, both black and white and color. Her work is currently on display at the Chicago Cultural Center, and has been written up in media worldwide.
