…the only citizens who commanded widespread media coverage last month were the right-wingers. And I bet you thought the media were “liberal.”

The media is certainly distorting the argument in order to draw ratings, but I disagree with the thought that such distortion proves the media is heavily Liberal-biased.
You’ll notice, if you look, that all of the coverage of the protesters, focusing on the “rowdier” ones, has been negative and has been used by the media to paint ObamaCare opponents as violent and uniformly hateful – with a liberal dose of allusions to their racism of course.
Conversely the media has been largely silent about the fact that, until last night, the only actual violence at the Town Halls and rallies had been perpetrated by proponents of ObamaCare.
I thought the “liberal” comment was meant to be irony. Must have missed something.
Do you have any information about the violence you refer to?
We’ve had violence committed by pro-reform people throughout the “debate” but the MSM largely ignores it. Here’s a sample: http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/2009/08/dems-listening-tour-continues-fists.html
It’s not the best source by any means, but it’s a starting place for research if you care to do it.
Some of the various local news outlets are reporting the violence, but most of the national outlets are ignoring it so details are bit hard to assemble in a concise form.
The four links I pursued were all quotes taken out of context that sounded pretty harmless when you read the whole thing.
