Are you saying that moralists and Alcoholics are mutually exclusive. If so then I am very grateful because I am a flaming moralist and its good to know that I don't have to worry about becoming an alcoholic.

Also couldn't moralists argue that people have character defects and thats why they become alcoholics in the first place.

A lot of people have addictive personalities but not all of them become alcoholics possibly because they don't have character defects which all moralists must take a stand against.

Are you not being a moralist when you attack other moralists? Are you not a failed moralist since you excuse alcoholism as a disease?

I just can't resist Bill. Its so easy. Socrates you're not.

Your argument is based on two assumptions: that I agree with your definition of "America" as referring to the republic in which we reside, and that we ignore the Spanish and French Catholics who preceded the WASPs, along with the aboriginal Americans that Europeans as a group slaughtered and disenfranchised. While my socratic abilities may be in question (as yours certainly are) my grasp of history is quite accurate.

The argument regarding Israel, et. al. is specious, in that it has nothing to do with the matter under discussion. If you do not see that, it is your problem, not mine.

Finally, you seem to be laboring under a misapprehension. The posts you "can't resist" remarking upon are excerpts from news articles, etc. that were not written by me. That is why there are links at the bottom to connect you with the full articles. They are not, in themselves argumentative, and even if they were you are addressing the argument to the wrong person. You might consider clicking on the links and taking your comments to the source, rather than wasting them on someone who isn't interested. In any case, I find arguments for the sake of argument silly. I have better things to do.

The above being the case, please feel free to comment as much as you like, wherever you like. I shall continue to approve your offerings, because others might find them amusing. I simply find them boring, so don't bother looking for replies. If you have a bee in your bonnet, it will have to continue buzzing without my appreciation.

Your obvious answer is "So, you don't think you can answer my arguments." The fact is, I don't know if I can or not, and I'm not interested enough to bother finding out.
