Beware of strangers you meet through dating services.

Police are giving age-old advice for a modern-day trend: Beware of strangers you meet through dating services.

The warning came a day after Miami-Dade police announced the arrest of another suspect linked to a Miami crime crew that allegedly used chat lines to find, kidnap, rob and assault people in Miami-Dade and Broward counties.

Judge: Noisy Aircraft Hurt Property Values — Suit OK

STUART — Neighbors of Witham Field can argue that planes from the Martin County airport hurt their property values even if the value of their property didn’t actually go down, a Circuit Court judge ruled today.

Well, let’s see…the airport has been there for more than 60 years.  How old are those homes?  Didn’t they notice the airport when they were building them?

A Whale of a Tale

Lynne Cox has made a name for herself as a long distance swimmer. She’s swam the English Channel, the waters of the Bering Strait, and bared frigid temperatures in the Antarctic Ocean. But it was during an early morning workout when she was a teenager that Cox had one of her most memorable experiences: an encounter with a baby gray whale.  Living on Earth: A Whale of a Tale

Hatemongers Meeting

The Family Impact Summit in Tampa Sept. 20-22 is expected to be one
of the largest gatherings of pro-family leaders in Florida’s history.

Keynote speakers include Tom Minnery of Focus on the Family Action,
Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council, Gary Bauer of American
Values and John Stemberger of the Florida Family Policy Council.
Stemberger said the sessions will offer practical advice and insight.

“We’re going to have workshops where folks can learn how to organize your church or community,” he told Family News in Focus. “We’re going to have seminars on pornography, on the marriage amendment and on voter registration.”

Terry Kemple, a spokesman for the Community Issues Council in Tampa,
which is sponsoring the event, said the goal is to “inform, ignite and
impact.”

“We’ll inform people about the issues, we’ll hopefully ignite their
passions by making clear what the consequences are if we don’t do
something about those issues, and then we’ll produce an impact by
equipping people with the tools to actually go home and make a
difference.”

Alan Chambers of Exodus International will address how the homosexual agenda impacts young people.

“We’ve got to talk about these things,” he said. “If we don’t, I
think we are neglecting our kids and setting them up for a dangerous
future.”

Let’s not work together to solve BIG problems, let’s be divisive about the little ones.
